Join 3rd Annual Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility (AI4IA) Conference

The UNESCO Information For All Programme (IFAP) Working Group on Information Accessibility (WGIA) is hosting its third Annual Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility (AI4IA) Conference, on 28 September 2022 at 13:00 (GMT), online.
Artificial Intelligence for Information Accessibility

The AI4IA Conference aims at triggering critical discussions on information accessibility and the intersection with Artificial Intelligence among multi-stakeholder participants from academia, civil society, private sector and government. It will also bring together global experts to celebrate the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI), recognized annually on September 28.

The event raises a range of issues, including the relationship between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Law, AI and Ethics, media and our right to know, creativity and innovation. AI can be very beneficial to society but if abused it can also be very harmful. Therefore, it is necessary to understand how AI can be made inclusive, thereby enabling the widest cross-section of society.

In 2021, the AI4IA Conference explored nine themes on the promotion of accessibility by AI, including including AI and Ethics, AI and Healthcare, AI  Big Data and Innovation, AI and Creativity, Youth in AI, and the Accessibility Pavilion. It served as a platform for more than 73 presenters from 17 countries to contribute to each of these AI4IA thematic areas in their unique and diverse ways. A summarized AI4IA Conference Report 2021 is available online.
