Earth University was inaugurated in November 2005 at UNESCO, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the United Nations. Six editions have already taken place and have brought together thousands of participants.

Earth University is a European space for reflection, debate, experience, sharing, commitment and transformation, open to all: neophytes, experts, professionals, young people and citizens.

It is a meeting place for knowledge and understanding, for the discovery and deepening of the major challenges that threaten our planet, our living and our society. These challenges inspire us to rethink our progress, our economies, our lifestyles, our consumption, our work, our travel, our food and our cultures.

Earth University is also a meeting place for collective intelligence.   The greatest international speakers, scientists and economic leaders, intellectuals and politicians, associations, farmers, artists, activists, and spiritual or religious leaders contribute by sharing their expertise, their experiences, their vision and especially their solutions with the public.

From these exchanges comes the motivation and the desire to act for a better life and an ecological and human harmony. Without awareness and knowledge, there can be no enlightened commitment.

The Earth University and the Parliament of the Future will join forces on November 25 & 26 at UNESCO House around the theme "Life at a time of great transitions".
