Premio de la UNESCO/Jikji Memoria del Mundo
El Consejo Ejecutivo de la UNESCO aprobó la creación del Premio de la UNESCO/Jikji Memoria del Mundo en abril de 2004.
Este Premio tiene por objeto conmemorar la inscripción del libro impreso con tipos móviles de metal más viejo del mundo, el Buljo jikji simche yojeol, en el Registro Memoria del Mundo, así como contribuir a la preservación y accesibilidad del patrimonio documental como elemento del patrimonio común de la humanidad.
El objetivo del Premio está en conformidad con las políticas de la UNESCO y está relacionado con el programa de la Organización para fomentar el acceso universal a la información y al conocimiento.

UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize
UNESCO created the UNESCO/Jikji Memory of the World Prize in 2004 to promote the preservation of documentary heritage as a common heritage of humanity and to encourage its wide accessibility. The UNESCO/Jikji Prize is named after the Buljo jikji simche yojeol, the oldest existing book of movable metal print in the world, on the Memory of the World Register. The prize is awarded to individuals, institutions, or non-governmental organizations that have made a significant contribution to the preservation and accessibility of documentary heritage.
