The “Strengthening national capacities and civil society for social cohesion" project will be conducting an online presentation of the final report on needs assessment, followed by a series of workshops. These activities are part of the commitment to support local authorities, civil society, and media in establishing inclusive Peace and Cooperation Councils (PCCs).

On April 5, 2024 will be conducted an online presentation of Final Report and Needs Assessment where national stakeholders and conflict analysis experts will share key findings from the needs assessment and engage in a constructive dialogue.

Starting from April 17, 2024 seven communities across Kyrgyzstan will participate in the community-based implementation workshops to focus on strengthening national capacities for conflict prevention and peacebuilding. Mapping on stakeholder’s activities by focusing on the lessons learned, community practices, peace dividers and connections (factors, actors), media products (channels, resource, style of messaging for triggering conflicts or sustaining peace) and rapid local conflict and peace analysis with media engagement resolutions. Communities: Alamedin (April 23), Sokuluk (April 24), Osh (May 15), Uzgen (May 16), Jalal-Abad (May 17), Batken (May 19), Razzakov (May 20).

These workshops aim to bridge public and municipal institutions, civil society organizations (CSOs), and media pillars. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, we strive to create an inclusive environment where diverse voices contribute to building a more peaceful and cohesive society. Project is  implementing  by UNESCO Almaty Regional Office  in close collaboration with UNDP in Kyrgyzstan and funded by the UN (United Nations) Peacebuilding Fund.
